The new Porsche Cayman GTS (pictured) will debut at the Beijing Motor Show
Porsche has decided the Boxster and Cayman need the GTS treatment, so we get treated to both a Porsche Boxster GTS and Porsche Caymen GTS. Based on the Boxster S and Catmen S, both the GTS models get a Euro 6 version of the 3.4 litre flat six with an extra 15bhp, which means 325bhp for the Bosxster and 335bhp for the Cayman. Both come with a six-speed manual as standard but you can opt for 7-Speed Dual Clutch ‘box which allows the Cayman GTS to crack 62mph in 4.6 seconds and the Boxster GTS in 4.7 seconds.
In addition to holiday-themed displays assembled by junkyard employees and the occasional sad, flood-victim Volvo Amazon, I frequently find homemade mix CDs and cassette tapes while prowling through wrecking yards. In fact, it would be possible to go into just about any high-inventory-turnover self-service wrecking yard in North America and come away with several dozen such discs and tapes, if anybody ever felt motivated to do such a thing. The past weekend, the Harewood Speed Hillclimb in Yorkshire, England, celebrated its Golden Jubilee. For 50 years, vehicles have been making the run up a narrow, twisting paved lane on a stretch of rolling farmland near Leeds, trying to beat the clock. The route, of about 1,600 yards, at one stretch passes between two barns on the property.
